Athletic Facilities
Rye Country Day's outdoor facilities include four artificial turf fields - two fields dedicated to football/soccer and field hockey/soccer in the fall and lacrosse in the spring. The other two fields are used for baseball and softball, but combined they provide an additional football/soccer field in the fall. Physical education classes also use these fields for a variety of activities.
Indoor facilities include the Gerald N. La Grange Field House, which includes an indoor ice hockey rink/ tennis courts, and locker room facilities. The Scott A. Nelson Athletic Center, opened in 2000 adjacent to the field house, features two basketball courts, a multi-purpose room, four squash courts, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and an athletic training room with extensive locker room facilities.
These facilities are a tremendous asset both to the RCDS student body and to the local community. Our top-notch facilities show a deep commitment by the school to field a comprehensive and complete athletic program.
